I spend a few days with my 90-year old grandaunt. It was really awesome in every sense of awesomeness. I enjoyed listening to her mother's (my great great grandmother) pranks. She told me about her first train journey and her life in chennai. Being the eldest in the family, her marriage was amidst much grandeur.
Even at this age, she has a sharp memory. I was shocked to hear that she knew my birth date. She has a beautiful voice and sang some songs for me. I was amazed at her spirit at this age.
She was happy to have a listener. I in turn, got the wonderful oppurtunity to talk to a person who saw so much in life, embraced many difficulties, and showed her younger generation, an inspiring example of leading a meaningful life.
